Il “Lookbook Provinciale“ è un’istantanea dell’idea di stile di Sandro Subito. Lo si evince nel segno grafico, con linee nervose a penna nera e rossa, ricompare nei vestiti disegnati, dal carattere più o meno fantasioso (ma sicuramente molto street) e ritorna infine come un trompe l’oeil sotto forma di grafiche dentro e fuori i capi.

Per raccontare questo immaginario stilistico Sandro si è prefissato un obbiettivo: illustrare tutte le pagine in una sola sessione. Attenzione, non perché sia sbrigativo, ma per garantire un momento di pura espressività non filtrata. Come una ricerca, per lui il disegno è molto esplorativo, e quindi vaga per idee, gettandole sul foglio.
La ricchezza di stimoli che trae dall’insieme di questi personaggi gli permette di avere un bacino di idee da cui attingere poi,nel momento di sviluppare un nuovo prodotto.

The "Provincial Lookbook" is a snapshot of Sandro Subito's idea of style. It is evident in the graphic sign, with nervous black and red pen lines, reappears in the drawn clothes, with a more or less imaginative (but definitely very street) character, and finally returns as a trompe l'oeil in the form of graphics inside and outside the garments.

To narrate this stylistic imagery Sandro set himself a goal: to illustrate all the pages in one session. Mind you, this is not because it is hurried, but to ensure a moment of pure, unfiltered expressiveness. Like research, drawing is very exploratory for him, so he wanders around for ideas, throwing them onto the paper. The variety of stimuli he draws from the set of these characters allows him to have a pool of ideas to draw from later when developing a new product.

The concept is created by a set of art applications that are merged or alternated within the fanzine: the gestural abstract, the pixel and the bitmap, the synthesizing of form and color. The common thread of the Zine is the imagery or Abstract-Spatial world created by the set of artwork alternating between very full pages and very empty pages.

“Afterimage" o “immagine residua” è un fenomeno visivo o un'illusione ottica in cui l'occhio vede un'impressione di un'immagine anche dopo che lo stimolo originale è stato rimosso. Questo è dovuto al modo in cui i nostri fotorecettori si adattano alla sovra-stimolazione da una luce intensa, come quella emessa da uno schermo. Tuttavia, il fenomeno è qualcosa di più di uno spettacolo ottico intrigante. È una metafora del ruolo che la memoria svolge nelle nostre vite. Ogni giorno ci immergiamo in un oceano di immagini, i nostri occhi sono sottoposti a un flusso interminabile di dati, colori e luce. Questa cascata infinita satura i nostri sensi lasciando solo echi visivi a riverberare nella nostra mente. L'organico si fonde con il digitale, la nostra vista viene hackerata e distorta, la realtà viene alterata. Non riusciamo più a dare un senso al caos nella nostra testa, tutto diventa rumore. Questi sono i concetti alla base del progetto che, tramite l’utilizzo varie tecniche di manipolazione e degradazione digitale dell’immagine, mira a ricreare una realtà surreale e distorta, un’ allucinazione indotta dallo schermo di un computer.

"Afterimage" refers to a visual phenomenon or optical illusion where the eye sees an impression of an image even after the original stimulus is removed. This is due to the way our eyes' photoreceptors adapt to overstimulation from an intense light, such as that emitted by a screen. However, an afterimage is something more than an intriguing optical spectacle. It's a metaphor of the powerful and persistent role that memory plays in our lives. We dive every day into an ocean of images where our eyes are subjected to an endless flow of data, color, and light. This infinite torrent saturates our senses leaving only visual echoes to reverberate in our mind. The organic blends with the digital, our vision is hacked and distorted, reality is altered. We can’t make sense of the chaos in our head anymore, everything becomes noise. These are the concepts at the heart of the project that, through the use of various techniques of digital image manipulation and degradation, aims to recreate a surreal and distorted reality, a hallucination induced by the screen of a computer.

La memoria umana, così come una RAM, immagazzina un numero infinito di informazioni sotto forma di “frame”, utilizzati poi per comporre i ricordi nella loro forma “finale". Questa azione di archiviazione e visualizzazione avviene in maniera inconscia e l’immagine “salvata”, nella sua apparente casualità, rimane strettamente legata all’armonia estetica, fattore determinante che seleziona ciò che verrà ricordato.

A colpire la nostra mente è sempre qualcosa che secondo noi, o comunque secondo quello che siamo in quel momento,  è degno di nota.
Queste informazioni esistono in un “luogo” mentale di “memoria liminale”, una dimensione di tempo-non-tempo e spazio-non-spazio, a cui è possibile accedere solo e unicamente nell’attimo di inconscia creazione del ricordo.  Per un periodo di circa un anno e mezzo ho voluto dare corpo fisico alla mia memoria liminale, scattando  dettagli di qualsiasi tipo che riuscissero a racchiudere nella loro unicità anche ciò che stava accadendo oltre lo scatto. Una precisa circostanza in una specifica fase temporale della vita sintetizzata in una sola immagine.

Human memory, as well as a RAM, stores an infinite amount of information in the form of “frames”, which are then used to compose memories in their “final” form. This action of storage and visualization occurs unconsciously, and the “saved” image, in its apparent randomness, remains closely linked to aesthetic harmony, the determining factor that selects what will be remembered.

Striking our mind is always something that in our opinion, or at any rate according to who we are at that moment, is noteworthy. This information exists in a mental "place" of "liminal memory," a dimension of time-non-time and space-non-space, which can be accessed only and uniquely in the moment of unconscious creation of the memory. For a period of about a year and a half I wanted to give physical body to my liminal memory, shooting details of any kind that could also encapsulate in their uniqueness what was happening beyond the shot.
